Skye Taylor
Born and brought up in New England, Skye Taylor assumed she’d always be a snow-loving Yankee until a life-changing adventure in the South Pacific showed her an equally appealing alternative. She now lives in St Augustine, Florida where she divides her time between writing novels, walking the beach, volunteering at the living history museum and trying to keep her to-be-read pile from taking over the house.
She considers life an adventure and in a world of people who ask "why”, she revels in asking "why not?" After losing her husband to cancer and seeing the youngest of her children through college, she joined the Peace Corps and spent two years in the South Pacific (2002-2004) working with the Red Cross, guiding a women’s handcraft co-operative and teaching English. She's jumped out of perfectly good airplanes and earned a basic sky diving license. She loves to travel and her bucket list of places to see and things to do is just as long as her to-be-read list.
Skye is a member of Romance Writer’s of America, Ancient City Romance Authors (currently serving as treasurer) and Florida Writer’s Association. She credits her high school junior and senior year English teacher, Fred Keyes, with instilling in her a fascination with words, a love of writing and a desire to create memorable characters and leave lasting impressions. During her stint with the Peace Corps she published several essays on her experiences, and they can now be read on her website. In 2012, her first novel, Whatever It Takes, was published. She is thrilled to join the BelleBooks family and is currently working on a six-book contemporary romance series.
