Southern Pecan Pie

 

Mama's Pecan Pie

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups pecan halves and pieces
    (mostly halves)
  • 1/2 cup dark Karo Syrup
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 4 eggs
  • pinch of salt


Directions:
Combine eggs and sugar. Beat well. Add syrup, melted butter, and salt. Place the pecans into an uncooked pie crust. Pour mixture over pecans. Bake @ 350 degrees for 45 minutes to one hour. Pecans should rise to top and brown slightly.
