Martha Shields Crockett

Martha Shields is a Belle-come-lately. She was invited to become a Belle partner in December 2000 and is currently helping Deborah Smith with marketing.

Martha is an award-winning, best-selling author who writes for Silhouette, as well as BelleBooks. She has been a finalist in numerous contests—both as a published and unpublished writer—including RWA’s Golden Heart and RITA contests, and Georgia Romance Writer’s Maggie contest. Her fourth book, Husband Found, won Romantic Times’ Reviewers Choice Award for Best Silhouette Romance in 1999.

Martha is a member of River City Romance Writers in Memphis, Tennessee, and has served as chapter president. She has a master’s degree in journalism and currently works for the University of Memphis. She also teaches fiction writing courses at the University of Memphis with Debra Dixon.
